Ify White-Thorpe
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ify White-Thorpe is a spoken word poet and writer from the illustrious state of New Jersey. She received her bachelor's degree from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She began writing short stories at the age of 7 and began performing and competing in oratory competitions at the age of 11. After finding out that she unknowingly signed away the rights to some of her own written works, Ify was inspired to start KOLO with the hopes of protecting the creative autonomy and copyright of works created by women of color.
Jasmine Rename is a journalist and former communications marketer from the undeniable state of New Jersey. She received her bachelor's degree from Felician University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Psychology at Columbia University. Jasmine has previously worked for a series of news outlets, covering sports and entertainment. She is passionate about protecting the rights of Black creatives in media. Jasmine is inspired by opportunities to merge modern media and written works in today's society.
Ifeoma Okoli is a social media content curator and the founder of A Dose of Afrobeats. She hails from the magnificent state of California. She received her bachelor's degree from Harvard College and her Masters in Social Cognition from University College London. Ifeoma is passionate about highlighting traditional stories written by women across the African diaspora. As a proud Nigerian, Ifeoma focuses much of her efforts on expanding opportunities for Black women on the African continent.
